Academician-Led Dialogue on Industry Future! Our "Rice Germ Achievement" Wins Product Innovation Award at National Rice Forum

September 24, 2025-The 2025 National Forum on Technological Innovation and Development of Deep Rice Processing Industry was grandly held in Nanyang, Henan. Centered on the theme "Building a New Ecosystem for Enhancing the Value of the Entire Rice Industry Chain," the forum was hosted by the National Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in Deep Rice Processing Industry (Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences). It brought together seven academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Sun Baoguo, Xie Hua'an, and Zhang Qifa, along with over 300 authoritative experts from industry, academia, research, and application sectors. Together, they discussed strategies for technological breakthroughs and value enhancement in the rice industry, making the event a veritable "annual gathering" in the field of deep rice processing in China.

During the award ceremony, our company's independently developed "He Si Xi - Rice Germ" achievement was honored with the Product Innovation Award, recognized for its technological innovation and industrial application value. The award was presented by Academician Xie Hua'an of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Peng Lijun, Director of the Food Crops Institute of Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Mr. Huang Qingming, Chairman of our company, accepted the award on stage. This honor not only signifies high recognition of our product but also underscores our core innovative capabilities in the field of deep rice processing.

Rice germ, known as the "nutritional core" of the rice grain, accounts for only 2%-3% of the grain's weight yet contains over 60% of its nutrients. Using Nanxian rice from rice-crayfish farming systems as the raw material, our company employs leading global patented technology – AI-Powered Precision Separation Technology – for extraction. This versatile ingredient can be flexibly adapted into various food forms including solids, liquids, gels, and semi-fluids, such as infant rice cereal, baked goods, plant-based beverages, dairy products, and nutritional powders.

Effective September 1, 2025, the "Rice Germ" group standard, spearheaded and drafted by our company, will be officially implemented. This standard marks the first time that raw material requirements, processing techniques, quality indicators, and testing methods for rice germ have been clearly defined. During the forum's session on major technological achievement transfers and cooperation signings, Chairman Huang Qingming, representing Hunan Zhunong Rice Industry Co., Ltd., formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in Deep Rice Processing Industry. Both parties will collaborate on joint research for producing high-quality, good-tasting rice, contributing to value enhancement across the entire industry chain.

The award and signing at this forum represent dual recognition from the industry for our company's technological research achievements and industrial contributions. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our expertise in the deep processing of rice and its by-products, promote the commercialization of more technological innovations, provide consumers with more nutritious and safer products, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the grain industry.
